Do the comedians of Saturday Night Live understand Sarah Palin?  They see right through her:

If you want to look at the comedy version side-by-side with reality, watch this short clip that was highlighted on CNN:

  1. I watched the SNL clip before I went and found the REAL interview. I was astonished to see that SNL was barely exaggerating!

  2. Hank says:

Ditto Mike. When I saw Tina Fey babbling like that I though "heh, nice one, I wonder what Palin actually said…" My jaw dropped when I watched the actual Couric interview.

My mother in law thinks Palin is a "breath of fresh air" … I'm going to splice Fey's SNL answers in with Couric's real questions and see if she can tell the difference!

I hope the Vice Presidential debate goes ahead – I admit haven't seen Biden speak very much, but at this point I think a high school debate captain would have a very good chance against Palin.

  3. I can't wait for the VP debate on Thursday!! I'll have a bowl of popcorn ready. I think it'll be more cringeworthy than an entire season of The Office!!

  4. Erich Vieth says:

More on Palin's ignorance. Apparently, in a part of the Couric interview that is not yet released, Palin was unable to recall any Supreme Court case other than Roe v. Wade.

Note the comments too. Here's my favorite: "McCain's camp is really desperate if they are going to just let this total moron talk. I only have one question for her. What was the name of the dinosaur Jesus rode?"
