You know those large, trailer-mounted electronic signs that are parked by the side of the highway to warn drivers of hazard zones ahead, such as construction or flooding? Last fall, I saw one such sign installed beside a main street leading into my local state university. The message on the sign read, “Look for cars when playing Pokemon Go.”
On the same campus, I have often seen young couples walking together…not talking or holding hands…instead, both are absorbed in their own cell phone screens.
I remember when some people feared the Sony Walkman would be dangerously distracting. If they only knew….
Grumpy: My mom’s car was damaged in a rear-end accident a few months ago. The body shop owner said he will never lack for business any more with the deluge of distracted driving rear-end accidents he has been seeing in recent years.
