Orwellian attack ads aimed at Elizabeth Warren

The thing about “swift boating” is that you don’t need any facts at all. All you need is money and the lack of a conscience, as illustrated by the recent attack ads run against Elizabeth Warren.

Timothy Leary once said that all politics boils down to primitive territorial brawling, and so the only way to discuss politics is “on all fours”, ie. like animals…the politics of the jungle.

Listening to political “news” is a great lesson in the art and science of brainwashing (the manipulation and metaprogramming of the human bio-computer*). There is very little real “news” in mainstream media’s coverage of politics, but there are heaps of flat-out lies, disinformation, posturing, and precise implantations of covert agendas which are simply disguised lunges for more Power, more Control and more Money. Paradoxically, I see it as both deeply humorous (apes in funny clothes playing silly games!) and profoundly nauseating (can’t we do better than this?!).

It’s enough to make me want to disengage completely from political involvement, and just consider it all as an interesting novelty; a curious and baffling cultural happening that is best viewed from afar to avoid getting myself soiled in the process.
