NYT Finally Mentions Seymour Hersh Article About the U.S. Destroying the Nord Stream Pipeline

The “news.”

NYT finally mentions Seymour Hersh’s investigative article that made a strong case that the U.S. destroyed the Nord Stream Pipeline. Laughingly, the NYT:

A) relies on “intelligence” by “U.S. Officials,”

B) lacks any meaningful details, instead serving as a stenographer for the WH in suggesting that “pro-Ukrainian” group was responsible, and

C) Barely mentions Hersh’s investigation, intentionally suppressing the many details offered by Hersh and failing to follow up on any of the numerous leads offered by Hersh.

All of this nonsense could be made palatable if the NYT merely adopted a new mission statement: “We are dedicated to making shit up to get Biden re-elected.”

One more thing…

The corporate news follow-up from Seymour Hersh’s blockbuster reporting that the United States blew up the Nord Stream Pipeline: Silence. Tucker Carlson is a rare exception. Seymour Hersh has now commented on the “news media” silence:

It’s been six weeks since I published a report, based on anonymous sourcing, naming President Joe Biden as the official who ordered the mysterious destruction last September of Nord Stream 2, a new $11-billion pipeline that was scheduled to double the volume of natural gas delivered from Russia to Germany. The story gained traction in Germany and Western Europe, but was subject to a near media blackout in the US. Two weeks ago, after a visit by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to Washington, US and German intelligence agencies attempted to add to the blackout by feeding the New York Times and the German weekly Die Zeit false cover stories to counter the report that Biden and US operatives were responsible for the pipelines’ destruction.

Press aides for the White House and Central Intelligence Agency have consistently denied that America was responsible for exploding the pipelines, and those pro forma denials were more than enough for the White House press corps. There is no evidence that any reporter assigned there has yet to ask the White House press secretary whether Biden had done what any serious leader would do: formally “task” the American intelligence community to conduct a deep investigation, with all of its assets, and find out just who had done the deed in the Baltic Sea. According to a source within the intelligence community, the president has not done so, nor will he. Why not? Because he knows the answer.

Sarah Miller—an energy expert and an editor at Energy Intelligence, which publishes leading trade journals—explained to me in an interview why the pipeline story has been big news in Germany and Western Europe. “The destruction of the Nord Stream pipelines in September led to a further surge of natural gas prices that were already six or more times pre-crisis levels,” she said. “Nord Stream was blown up in late September. German gas imports peaked a month later, in October, at 10 times pre-crisis levels.

New article by Seymour Hersh about the coverup of the Nord Stream Pipeline incident.

And then there is this . . .

Disengage curiosity. Hit the turbo button on tribalism. Forget everything you were taught in J school about how to be a respectable news reporter. Talk like your audience they are a bunch of three year olds. Suppress the fact that Joe Biden promised to take out the Nord Stream Pipeline. Ignore last month’s blockbuster story by Seymour Hersh. And then shit all over yourself under the banner of the New York Times.

What does it tell you that Joe Biden and the U.S. have no interest in investigating who blew up Germany’s extremely expensive pipeline, thus tripling the cost of energy for ordinary Germans? He’s not investigating because he already knows who did it. What does it tell you when the left-leaning corporate media isn’t following up on any of the many leads offered by Hersh? That they criticize Hersh’s anonymous sources (which they never did in Hersh’s other blockbuster stories) and then LOVE their own anonymous sources, which came straight from the U.S. government? How in the fuck did real life reporters come to embrace the default position of believing the U.S. government, who has spewed endless lies, especially during times of war?

And now, Facebook has decided what we should and shouldn’t know about the destruction of the Nord Stream Pipeline, according to Michael Shellenberger’s latest article, “Norway State Media Behind Facebook Censorship Of Seymour Hersh Over Nord Stream Explosion: Were the former CIA and NATO officials at Facebook involved?” Here’s an excerpt:

Over the last several months, there has been a major debate over who blew up the Nord Stream pipeline, which took natural gas from Russia to Western Europe. Pulitzer-winning journalist Seymour Hersh claims that the U.S. blew it up with the help of the Norway government. Others say Hersch’s story is wrong. It has been a fascinating debate.

But instead of allowing people to make up their own minds, Facebook has decided to take a side. It is censoring Hersch’s article, as the above video, made around 3:30 pm PT, shows. “We don’t think we can make ourselves the arbiter of the truth” said a Facebook executive just a few years ago. And yet that’s what they’re doing.
