My wife (an artist) posted Ursus Wehrli's TEDTalk on her Facebook page yesterday. She said, "This is great! My engineer hubby should appreciate this!" Well, he certainly does. I particularly liked Wehrli's takes on Jasper Johns and Jackson Pollack.

About five years ago, I watched in amazement as a young man ate a light bulb in front of a live audience at an art fair. It took him about five minutes, and it was one of the more bizarre things I had seen. And now, I see that it is possible to eat a light bulb in about 30 seconds. I can just imagine this record-holder's parents talking to him a few years ago: "Son, we understand that you would rather eat light bulbs than go to college. You have our blessing, as long as you strive to become the best possible light bulb eater."
This is clearly a fake, but I say that because the bus behavior was bizarre. Many of those commenting at YouTube claim that they can see the fakery in the video itself. I thought it looked real.
I do enjoy the Internet for engineering esoterica, such as this photo collection of the world's largest ship propellers.
