The GOP doesn't want a solution to the healthcare crisis. They want Obama to "fail," and they believe they can achieve this by undermining Democrat efforts at health insurance reform. This mirrors previous efforts by the GOP to undermine other government programs (e.g., Medicare, public education, prison management, military logistics, etc.) to 'prove' that government can't solve problems. It's been an effective strategy: first, destroy a government program; then, point to the failure to justify destroying other government programs.
