Quite predictably, FOX didn’ “hear” any of these protesters address any real issues. That’s because FOX doesn’t want to hear things like “Stop the War” and “Stop the torture.”

FOX got exactly the chant it deserved at the end of this video. That’s some free speech for you, FOX. Nonetheless, the studio newscaster is worried about the well-being of the reporter on the street. What’s she worried about? That he might actually have an unbiased thought?
Rudeness to reporters is unlikely to win support from the hypothetical swing voter that watches (snicker) Fox News. Sorry. I couldn't say that last part with a straight face.
But this clip does clearly demonstrate how irrationally "the left" responds to apparently reasonable requests. Well framed, Fox. Ya didn't get a quote-mineable sound bite. But the context gives your message, anyway.
Not surprisingly, Fox is distorting history as well as current events. Who rioted in 1968? There was a bunch of unruly, unwashed, radical youth, but twice as many armed security forces, including the National Guard. The official report on Chicago '68 described it as a "police riot." Dan Rather was punched on the convention floor by security guards. Reporters taking notes when police charged a crowd of onlookers were beaten and their notes confiscated. A British Member of Parliament ( a middle-aged woman) who was watching from across the street was beaten also, and testified at the trial of the Chicago 8.
If you watch and listen closely, the reporter quickly moved away from those that tried to answer, and concentrated on those that were screaming and yelling. He also kept telling them that they didn't believe in freedom of speech. ( implying that Fox does)
