Neo-Jesus according to Rush Limbaugh

Lawrence O’Donnell put Limbaugh in his  place after Limbaugh attempted to rewrite the Bible. Limbaugh’s outburst was this: Those on the political left mangle the words of Jesus Christ. They improperly claim that Jesus was a liberal/socialist who would approve of tax increases on the rich. This is incorrect, says Rush. Jesus would not “take” taxes from the rich:

At 5:30, O’Donnell gives Rush a homework assignment:  Find a bible passage where we find Jesus “sympathizing with rich people for having paid too much tax or having been too generous, or having been forced by anyone, by the state, by Caesar, by anyone . . . forced to be too generous. “

Of course, the ready response from the Right will be—

But it should be VOLUNTARY through CHARITY not through GOVERNMENT or TAXATION! If your tithe is mandated in the tax code, then it is imposed righteousness, and verily we shall grumble under the burden of being stripped of the ability to give as we CHOOSE.

Wow, the Blush LimpBlah is now a reverend, he can take his place next to the other flakes like Jim Jones, Jim Baker, Jimmy Swaggart, (all silly jimmy’s), Ted Haggard, Oral Roberts, Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson, Franklin Gramham (son of Billy), John Hagee, and we can’t forget the rev. Mike Huckabee. Maybe LimpBlah next sermon will be about the scripture “Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and give to God what is God’s”, found in the good book. But alas we probably hear more or the same lies that we heard today. He is such a windbag.

Rush doesn't get it…the choice is between eternal life and damnation. What Rush must do is clear if he wants eternal life.
