Truthdig.com has produced a video displaying the coordinated smear campaign FOX is running against left wing bloggers.
Fox News is out to smear the blogosphere with a slew of unsavory tactics, such as comparing liberal bloggers to the Klan and Nazi Germany. It has already met with some success, prompting JetBlue to pull its sponsorship from the YearlyKos convention.
Truthdig is also proposing a method of putting a stop to the lies and defamation: write to the advertisers of local FOX programming to express your outrage that they support such programming.
Faux News fails to appreciate the fact that groups like the Klan and the Nazis were extreme right-wing organizations, and thus have much more in common with Fox than with ANY left-wing blog. Just another case of Republican group-thinkers projecting onto others the flaws they desperately need to see in themselves.
I urge all freedom loving Americans to boycott JetBlue for catering to foreign interests which seek to destroy democracy in America.
In yet another example of the Faux News campaign of misinformation, they recently aired a story about the evils of congressional earmarks in the federal budget. Amazingly (or perhaps unsurprisingly), they singled out Democrat John Murtha for their attack, conveniently never mentioning that the use of budget earmarks exploded under the 2000-2006 Republican-controlled congress. To the extent that earmarking is a problem today, it is because Republicans turned the process into their personal gravy train, yet to hear Faux News tell the story, earmarking is all the fault of Democrat John Murtha.
I'm just waiting for Fox to find a way to blame Democrats for Bush's failed Iraq invasion. If Fox's past behavior is any indication of what we can expect from them in the future, Bush's name will never appear, and Fox will blame the Iraq mess on the 2008 Democratic presidential candidate…especially if that candidate is named Clinton.
