WP: Now that We Think About it . . . There’s No Evidence that Rittenhouse was a White Supremicist

The WP apparently trying to mitigate damages in the libel suit they are now apparently worrying about. Responsible professional journalism would have been evidence-based from the very beginning. I probably need to add that I’m no fan of Kyle Rittenhouse. He is not any sort of hero to me. I write this as someone who has seen the widespread decline in the the ability of legacy news outlets that I formerly trusted.

I’m currently working on a Substack post about racially-charged events that look to the judicial system for justice. My first impression of every one of them, including Rittenhouse. JDLR: Just doesn’t look right. This is a law enforcement term, and I worked in a narrow slice of law enforcement for a couple of years, military counterintelligence.

JDLR for Waukesha, the three men convicted of murdering Mr. Aubrey in Georgia, and Rittenhouse. I plan to send it to you for your observations before publishing, taking shameless advantage of your superior writing skills and experience.

Erich, I’ve seen more than one photo of Rittenhouse very purposefully displaying the white supremacist hand sign. Evidence does exist that he identifies as such. Regardless, he’s a murderer and his mother should be in custody. A disgusting miscarriage of justice at the hands of a corrupt judge.

I’ve seen that photo too and I’m sure the WP has seen it. Yet the WP made an about-face.

I don’t claim to know the truth as far as the mental state of Rittenhouse. I do know that he has blamed his first lawyers for those photos.

Kyle Rittenhouse claimed his ex-attorney “set him up” for a photo of him posing with purported members of the Proud Boys and making a hand gesture used by white supremacists.

Rittenhouse blasted his former legal team, John Pierce and Lin Wood, saying he didn’t know the “OK” hand signal is now associated with white supremacy and claiming he “didn’t know what a militia was” until after he was arrested.
