Lincoln is one of dozens of historical figures who, according to a school district renaming committee, lived a life so stained with racism, oppression or human rights violations, they do not deserve to have their name on a school building.
Once again, where do you draw your line with the Woke? At what point do you say “Enough”? If we don’t speak up about this insanity, haven’t we also implicitly voted to tear down the Lincoln Memorial?
Not widely known, lawyer Lincoln defended an Indiana man who owned slaves in Kentucky but brought them to Indiana to work his farms. The state of Indiana claimed that the periods exceeded what the law allowed for slaves before it mandated their freedom. Lincoln lost.
