Taking a closer look at Ron Paul

I agreed with much of what Ron Paul has to say about U.S. foreign policy, the so-called “war on drugs,” and his hostility to the actions of the Federal Reserve. On the other hand, I’m not a fan of many of his other policy positions, some of the reasons listed by Ashley F. Miller.

Good piece on covering Ron Paul’s opinions. He seems to be a black and white and no gray when it comes to most of his beliefs. Works for him, but we are not sure just how they will work in the real world.

I’m with you, many of his ideas are appealing, and many seem…naive.

The trouble it seems, IS that our rulers now, are so entrenched, that to make serious changes, he would need many in the Congress to help him out. Look what happened to him today in Ohio. Every single conservative talk show was blasting him relentlessly. You would have thought he was the anti-Christ.

And he lost to Romney. Sad. He should have won there, but all the conseratives media pundits were out to kill his chances.

It was amazing to hear, and depressing.

It’s sort of like some advice a doctor once told me when I was suffering from a deep depression (at 19) He told me as long as it took me to get into it, that’s about how long it will take me to get out of it.

Our country is going to take a long time to get out of this. So many men are corrupt at the very top, that we need many more Ron Pauls working in Congress to get anywhere.

But good men like Erich, and the rest of us, must keep ranting.

It’s our lives, our children’s future, and our very sanity that’s at stake. We are on the tightrope.
