Reminder to wear your seatbelt

Check out this powerful video reminding you to use your seatbelt. Amazingly, 25% of people from Missouri (my home state) don’t use a seatbelt while driving. Nationwide, 17% of people don’t use their seatbelts.

Initially watching this video, I expected it to end in surprise horror and gore. Many effective PSAs, such as these on workplace safety resort to such tactics. This public service announcement struck me because it took a higher road. By playing with my expectation of carnage- and instead killing me with cuteness and kindness- this short video really affected me.

Erika: I had the same reaction. It ended with an upbeat message too, and wasn't stern or preachy. Not a lot of statistics thrown around (like I did in my post). It was a good story, and people remember stories especially well.
