Winners of the 2009 World Press Photography contest

World Press Photo has announced its winning photos for 2009.  These photos have traditionally been politically relevant and emotionally powerful–incredibly compelling images.  They are often as rich in imagery as they are disturbing in content.

He is also a working musician, artist and a writer, having founded Dangerous Intersection in 2006. Erich lives in St. Louis, Missouri with his two daughters.
