It’s the same issues every time a country wants to go to war. And the same media problems.
I keep wondering when the Israeli government will figure out that the strategy it has used to "defend" their country for the past sixty years is not working any better today than it has for the past decades, and is likely the source of much of the hatred that is directed against them. There is such a thing as being a good neighbor, and either they or their Arab neighbors will someday need to be the first to be good neighbors. Seems to me it would be nice if they were the first, especially given their relative military and economic strength, and the fact that they disposed a lot of Arabs to get the land they have.
Here is something to ponder: Almost every prime minister of Israel was once a terrorist. That's right! The Likud Party started as a terrorist organization, but the policy of the USA government and media has been one of plausible denial where the Israeli actions are of concern.
Something in the video made me think. What is the responsibility of the media to a democratic nation in the information age? The last 8 years have shown us the power of a media controlled by an elite minority, to instill indignation and animosity in the majority
