I’ve previously written about the enormous number of synonyms for poop, speculating on why there are so many synonyms. I don’t know if my suggestions were convincing to others, but the issue still intrigues me.

Speaking of synonyms, there is also a very large number of synonyms for "loose" women, most of which now seem to be archaic. Our ancestors apparently spent considerable time discussing these two topics, to have created so many words for the same things.
