When you take a posed holiday photo of your children, strive to present your children in a unique light. The photo of my children (below) turned out especially well. I used a Canon SD1100SI. Make sure you get natural expressions by being a bit unpredictable. Choose a suitable background for the photo. And don’t forget that timing is everything when determining exactly when to click the camera shutter.

[Note: This idea came to me while visiting the Missouri Botanical Garden with my family today. The Garden presented a display of holiday plants that included several elaborate model railroad layouts in Alpine settings. The Amtrak engine was about 5″ tall. My two daughters freely agreed to this pose knowing that their lives would be at risk, thanks to Photoshop.]
