This video [1] features bonobo expert Sue Savage-Rumbaugh discussing the bipedal physiology and impressive intellectual capacities of bonobos. Lots of footage of bonobo behavior in captivity.
Savage-Rumbaugh mentions that it’s a rare zoo that houses bonobos. Why? Because they are sexually active in ways that very much resemble humans. For most zoos, this is just too much.
