First, both the U.S. and the world were *very* different places in T.R.&#039;s time (1900) than they are today.  For example, at that time, the U.S. was not even a *global* power, much less the world&#039;s only superpower, and T.R. didn&#039;t have his finger on the nuclear button.
 

 
Second, to borrow a famous expression from Lloyd Bentsen:  Sarah Palin is no T.R. ]]></description>
