A new Declaration for America: to wake up from its delusions

With the help of a DI reader who wishes to remain anonymous, I have created the following Declaration for modern Americans to wake up from their delusions.   I’d recommend that all adults and school children put their hands over their hearts in the morning and say the following instead of pledging allegiance to the powers-that-be (but see here for an alternate form of the Pledge).

My younger son is taking a film appreciation course at his school. Saturday he spoke about a documentary, part of a series called “20 Days” produced for TV by Morgan Spurlock in 2005. In this particular episode, “Minimum wage”, Spurlock and his fiancée spend a month in Columbus Ohio trying to make ends meet at minimum wage jobs.

It’s an interesting experiment. The video, along with other episodes from the series is available on youtube( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yloNmBTKNIE )
