The "super" irony is that the Susies of the world (those who need to speak up in class) need not be super smart. The mechanism proposed by Charles Darwin is simple. It is so simple that Thomas Huxley recounted: "My reflection when I first made myself master of the central idea of the Origin was, 'How extremely stupid not to have thought of that.'"

Consider, also, the phenomenal success of an entry level class called "Evolution for Everyone."

You don't need to be super smart to understand the basic principles of evolutionary biology. You only need to open your mind and consider the evidence. See also this review of the many types of evidence explained by natural selection.
