Now that Obama is the heir apparent, I'm very curious to see where the equity & commodity markets will go in the next six months. On the one hand, Bush & the incumbents in Congress will try very, very hard to prevent the economy from imploding before the election -- indeed, historically, the market tends to do very well in the six months before a major election. On the other hand, Obama's policy of ending the Iraq occupation will likely worsen the instability in the oil commodity market, which could cause serious negative ripples in equities. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Obviously, Mr Bold Evangelical (the author of the editorial) has been influenced by the exact mentality of which he accuses Obama's supports.
Specifically, only searching for news and opinions that support what one already firmly believes in.
Everyone shoul checkout the Senators websites
 http://mccain.senate.gov
 and
http://obama.senate.gov
and decide for themselves

What such folks really fear is that a majority of the people in this country would approve someone like Obama---and that the right of right, flat-earth-type thinking they represent is a shrinking minority.

So. . .Republicans might not vote for McCain because he might drop dead in office? Wow, he'd better choose his running mate very carefully! It'll have to be someone who can switch from the straight talk express to standing firm on the party platform just as he did, only younger, I guess.

Then again, this guy doesn't seem to know much about Obama's "agenda", so it probably doesn't matter what McCain's VP's agenda is, either, as long as he's not on death's door.
