Is that good or bad?

Many Clinton supporters have claimed that Republicans are not endorsing Obama because they believe in him, they do it in order to prevent Clinton. Me, I think, many of them do indeed not like Clinton and any other Democrat, but in order to appear moderate and sensible they show their support for Obama. He is less radical and divisive, therefore supporting him as a Republican is ok and good, it's a demonstration of your tolerance and moderate views, even though deep down inside you still think Democrats are idiots. He is the black friend that racists have in order to prove to people that they are not racist. The Jewish friend of the anti-Semits, the female feminist-hater friend of the sexist, you get my drift.
