Here’s a video I found that I want to share with you. Its message is strong and, technically speaking, well delivered.

The media have such a bad influence on women. It still surprises me when I hear people say how great Nicole Richie and other skinny actresses look. Scary how the media are able to brainwash people…
Have you ever read about the pro-ana movement?

Karen Carpenter of The Carpenters died of anorexia. I just recently made a post and included a video of one her songs here together with another song, Perfect 10 by The Beautiful South, both are fabulous songs.

This video is quite effective. I wonder, though, what young women with anorexia think of it. After all (as the video makes clear), they have warped views regarding their own bodies. Maybe they would think that this video only applies to other women.
Projekleiterin: I agree with you completely regarding Karen Carpenter. She had an incredibly beautiful voice and apparently worked endless hours to get the sound exactly how she wanted it. Reading some websites about her last month, there is yet another tragedy regarding her. Though she made her fame and fortune based on her popular recordings, her music interests were apparently in other genres which she never had a chance to adequately explore.
