This video is as beautiful as it is sad. I’m about to write a post that will touch on why this message is even necessary. Many Americans believe that it is OK to talk about what “they” are like, referring to all people from the Middle East in one broad stroke. So many Americans are small-minded racist people. You could be the most patriotic American imaginable, but if you are of Middle Eastern descent, you’re going to be trashed by 20% of Americans. Like I said, it’s all very sad.
Some americans will watch this beautiful video and see only hate. They’ll see a terrorist under every scarf, in every pair of jeans and in all the bight eyes of all those wonderful little children. Erich is right, it is as beautiful as it is sad.
