Bush admits he doesn’t know what’s going on in Iraq

Today ABC’s Martha Raddatz asked Bush whether Iraq was embroiled in a civil war.

Bush:  “It’s hard for me living in this beautiful White House to give you an assessment, a first hand assessment . . .”

Bush continued on:

I haven’t been there. You have, I haven’t. But I do talk to people who are and people whose judgment I trust and they would not qualify it as that. There are others who think it is.

Bush finally tells the truth about something: that he lives in an ivory tower…er, White House…that he is clueless about Iraq, that his information is fed to him by handlers who tell him what they want him to hear, and that HE LACKS THE MOTIVATION TO CONFIRM WHAT HE IS TOLD AND THE BRAINS TO QUESTION IT.

And this comes as a surprise, how? Oh, that’s right - he actually admitted he didn’t know something. That is a surprise.
